This is a one-of-a-kind Experience that takes place in the heart of Paso Robles, Ca. We take you on a journey that will change your mind about the wonderful world of fungi forever. Our team will share the story of founders Chris and Summer on how it all began to where it has brought them today. We will explain the complexities of being mushroom farmers and what it takes to sustain a thriving small mushroom business. You will also get to see the full growth process of a mushroom from inoculation to fruiting.   Reservations are required. Walk-ins accepted upon availability based on existing tour schedule. Book online or show up on time. Please call to make arrangements outside of normal tour times to see if we can accommodate your party.

FAQ

  • Our facility is all indoor, air conditioned and a year-round operation. 
  • A light jacket is recommended due to the interior climate. 
  • 10% discount storewide for taking the tour.
  • 20.00 per person credit card bookings. Minimum tour cost 40.00 if alone
  • Younger guest welcome. Please let us know prior to booking. Ages 7-13 are half off with full paid adult admission, Under the ages of 7 are free. Child admissions will be settled on site prior to tour.
  • Large groups of can be accommodated. 
  • Buy outs are available, get a private VIP tour for your group 400.00 
  • We offer specials for restauranter owners, front of house, chefs and all industry professionals.
  • Tours run weekly, special arrangements can be made for groups and private parties.
  • Tour Duration 45-60 minutes sometime longer.
  • Tips are greatly appreciated.  
  • We have very nice bathrooms available for customers only
  • ADA accessibly for everyone to enjoy

"Had been wanting to check this out for quite awhile so when I had an out of town friend who is interested in alternative health care and healthy eating, I took the opportunity! Very informative, had no idea the quality differences in mushrooms - eyes opened now! Enjoyed shopping at the little store afterward and a pleasant surprise to have a discount after the tour! This wonderful alcohol-free activity was a nice change in a very alcohol based region (beer and wine). Looking forward to starting a growing kit of our own! Lovely family owned business. Fascinating Mushroom Adventure

"The business owner gave us a lot of information about mushroom cultivating and had a display of the different types that they grow. I bought the brown mushroom box as a birthday gift for my 57 year old son; he and his family viewed it as an interesting science project watching the mushrooms emerge and grow. I cooked them and they were delicious. A very cool and reasonably priced gift for a friend or family member!"

Totally worth it

"I learned so much about mushrooms today, and I already knew a lot. Anyone that has desire to know more about mushrooms, how they're grown, why you should eat them (including medicinal qualities), why these are so much fresher than the mushrooms you get in the market, should take a tour. It's truly amazing and the tour guide (the owner) really knows his stuff!! And the retail store is amazing."
