What started out as a garage side hustle in 2018 grew into an exciting passion project that matured into a dependable company consistently providing the best local gourmet mushrooms in the industry. Founder, Chris Batlle, saw an opportunity to provide the food service industry with domestically grown, gourmet mushrooms and unparallel customer service. Chris' background extends deep into high-end construction, the commercial seafood industry and wine industry. When Chirs isn't foraging and growing mushrooms, he can often be found in "chef mode" cooking, offroad racing, farming various projects and spending time with his beautiful family.
Our mushrooms are sustainably grown in small batches on the best organic substrate to ensure that they are of the highest caliber. We believe that the love and quality can be tasted and is key to creating exceptional nutrient rich foods. This quality control is backed by our direct to chef customer service. One of the key components lost in the food service industry is knowing your farmer. We invest in our customer education to ensure understanding the complexities and importance of why we need each other, creating a symbiotic relationship.

At Mighty Cap Mushrooms, we believe that the best food comes from the best ingredients. We do not use any chemicals throughout the entire process of growing our mushrooms. We source our growing materials from certified organic suppliers and have an amazing local recycle program for our spent substrate.
